I've always enjoyed designing things and problem-solving but never knew of a profession where I could do both comfortably, all while making a difference in someone’s life. It wasn't until my last semester of undergrad, in the midst of a pandemic, that I learned about UX/UI design in a human-computer interaction course. After taking that class, I realized I had to change my post-grad plans—Instead of working in marketing, I wanted to be a UX/UI Designer.
Up until that point, I worked in retail and interned with companies specializing in products and services for underserved audiences. These experiences taught me how to collaborate in a team environment, think outside the box (and on my feet!), and how to deliver a delightful experience, all the way down to the minute details.
When I’m not designing creative solutions, I’m either listening to music, watching Real Housewives (currently loving Salt Lake City), or looking for new skincare products to try.
